Queen Tara

Today we all had breakfast at the Eureka hotel and then hung out by the pool until lunch. We went to Sister's Restaurant which is a local Cambodian restaurant and was very good and fresh.

In the early afternoon, the 8 of us got in the mini bus and went down to the boat. On the way, we stopped by a street where there were Korean Missionaries dancing and singing. Then, we went through stilt houses on our way to the Queen Tara, which was a nice boat ride. We also stopped at a floating market with a lot of crocodiles piled in a hole on the boat and another with frogs. When we got to the all you can eat buffet, it was surprisingly empty and very windy. The buffet had food that wasn't too fresh like spring rolls, fries, and chicken balls. Since the food wasn't as good as expected, most of us didn't eat all-you-can-eat so Evan and dad who were saving space all day were pretty disappointed 😔. There were also these fried balls that looked like plantains but tasted like a mushy chicken nugget, but after Ethan already ate one, we realised it was actually fish (which he's allergic to). He ended up being okay, but by then we were already ready to leave. When we went down to use the washroom, we noticed a bedroom that was all dusty and had one doll in the middle of the bed with many other odd things which freaked us out.
On our way back, we stopped to get a durian which was really expensive (20 bucks!) that we brought back to the hotel. It tasted really good but it wasn't that ripe, although most of us enjoyed it. Overall, the tour was very interesting, but we would not want to go back to Queen Tara!
